Dr Robert Illes has spent a considerable part of his career in Education. From an initial excellent first class degree in Physics to experience as a Physics teacher, Head of Physics, lecturer at Oxford Brookes culminating with a PhD in Physics Education; the educational/academic aspect provides the first half to a very strong coin. Dr Robert Illes continues to be involved in academic authoring projects, be they empirical or document based research, research into education or course preparation and training. Prominently, Dr Robert Illes is a fully inducted member of the Institute of Scientific and Technical Communicators (ISTC), thus gaining the illustrious additional suffix MISTC, and will write and present regularly for them.

Most recently, Robert has been Lead Researcher for Skills and Training on the Construction Innovation Hub. Read about some of his future skills engagement work here.

	Oxford Brookes University: Original PhD study on Energy. Further empirical study on the understanding of graphical data and publication in “School Science Review” journal. 	The Living Rainforest Educational Charity: Research and consultancy. Relation of Key Scientific Concepts to National Curricula for “Sustainable Tour” Programme.
	Alexandra Borowska: Authoring of all marketing materials and flyers; PR; design and authoring of entire alexandraborowska.com website. Translation of difficult and esoteric concepts into scientifically credible and into lay-understandable forms.
	Essentie: Work for this Belgian Educational Charity has involved researching and authoring reports and conducting one-to-one consultation on the best way to present some high level physics concepts (such as fields and the essential elements of the quantum world) to non-physics academics in the context of a course promoting the benefits of meditational techniques.
