Dr Robert Illes has extensive experience in designing extrusions, mouldings, sheet metal, fabricated and machined components, complex assemblies, BOMs with costings and creating and modifying architectural layouts - as well as writing all the relevant manuals for the said products! Ten years experience in the Outdoor Media Industry has taken Robert round the world, developing innovative lighting products for clients such as Clear Channel, JCDecaux Airports, Redbus Outdoor, as well as Times Innovative Media India. Within a year of joining the industry, while still studying for his PhD, patented inventions started surfacing. To date, Robert has been a key inventor, written the patent applications and taken the products from idea to production for four innovations: two within the field of lighting, one mechanical and one electronic. Robert also applied his design skills towards the architectural and has prepared coordinated electrical, mechanical and plumbing services layouts for some major construction jobs for the likes of Arcadia, TMD and Diamond Light.
